Cuffing Season is Upon Us.. 🙄

Winter is an interesting one. 

This is my first Winter where I would say I’m properly single. Last year I was, but that was a mad period of my life where I was still all over the place trying to figure out what my next steps were. This time around I’m much more settled and happy on where I’m at in life and in my self.

It’s been a bit of a mad ride with a lot of crazy energies lately and then we had eclipse season (always fun!). Sometimes when you least expect it, you feel you’re doing great but during this time of year when everyone hunkers down and nuzzles in for warm and cozy evenings together, it can feel quite lonely. It can make you miss that human connection in a loving way. Add on all the great new shows (Nobody Wants This!) and the romantic Christmas films - sometimes it feels like a lot! 

Not gonna lie, it took me by surprise this week. I’d say it’s probably the most it’s hit me since I’ve been single. I let myself feel it though. I didn’t go back on the apps to see who’s there when I was feeling lonely, if we do fall into that trap, we’ll attract someone on a similar wavelength - that’s why we have to be intentional and in a good space if we do go on them. Personally, I’ve come off of them as I found it can end up being a bit of a crutch when you’re missing that connection. 

To be honest, I’m holding out for my Noah (Nobody Wants This). His romance, compassion, understanding and open communication is what I’m looking for. I'm not willing to settle for anything less. I know it’s out there, when the time is ready :)

I guess this whole post in a roundabout way is saying don’t let ‘cuffing season’ get to you. We’re all on our own paths and things will happen a) when we least expect it b) when we’re ready c) when we’ve filled our own cup up first 😊 

Focus on all the other amazing relationships in your life, go and try something new, get out in nature, book something fun and if it all gets too much… cosy up with a great book or a feel good series 😊🥰❤️
